Dr. David Caskey – Forensic Cardiologist
In 1979, Dr. Caskey began his career in cardiology following a fellowship at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
He has served on the Louisiana Board of Medical Advisors and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. From 2001-2007 he practiced as Associate Professor of Cardiology at Louisiana State University Health Science Center (LSUHSC).
During that time, he published several papers derived from cardiology research.
His academic appointments have included: Associate Professor of Pharmacology, LSU Medical Center; Associate Professor of Clinical Cardiology, LSUHSC; Course Director for Cardiology; Head of Critical Care, LSUHSC; Clinical Supervisor for Internal Medicine and Cardiology interns, residents, and medical students in primary care, hospital activities, and primary cardiology; Course Director for Cardiology Residency, LSUHSC; Head of Echocardiology, LSUHSC; Head of Training Issues for third and fourth year medical students and physician assistant students.
Presently, he maintains a private practice in non-invasive cardiology, Monroe, Louisiana.
He has testified as a forensic cardiologist in malpractice cases at the state and federal levels.
